VelaShape™ III Cellulite Reduction & Circumference Reduction
Even if we follow a healthy lifestyle, diet, and exercise habits, we may start experiencing several changes in our bodies as we age. One such change will be cellulite or excess fat deposits in the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, arms & back called cellulitis. At GOLDCOAST medspa, we offer the VelaShape III Cellulite Reduction procedure to reduce cellulite, tighten skin and improve body contours.

VelaShape III
VelaShape® is an FDA-approved, non-invasive body contouring treatment that reduces the appearance of cellulite, reduce circumference and stubborn fatty deposits. Most common areas treated are the thighs, buttocks, abdomen, submental (double chin), arms, love handles, saddle back and legs.
Velashape combines four different technologies:

- Tissue manipulation (mechanical massage)
VelaShape can also help tighten sagging, loose skin around delicate body parts like the face leaving patients with smoother and tighter skin. VelaShape to Address Cellulite
Cellulite tends to be a universal problem that plagues people of all shapes and sizes, regardless of age or lifestyle.
This dimpled appearance most often appears on areas like the thighs, buttocks, stomach and arms due to fat accumulation beneath the skin’s surface. Luckily, VelaShape III offers a non-invasive solution for those looking to tone and smooth these common trouble spots. The targeted areas treated with this innovative technology include the legs (thighs and calves), abdomen (belly fat), flanks (love handles), back bra line area (back rolls), upper arms, underarms as well as chin and neck region.
The complete results of Velashape III treatment are visible after 8-12 weeks after your last appointment.
A series of 3-8 sessions is recommended
VelaShape Procedure
The procedure works by delivering the infrared and RF energies to the targeted area of the body using a hand-held VelaShape device that consists of rollers. When the technician passes the wand over the skin, vacuum technology is used to suction against the skin, and rollers are used to knead the area. Radio-frequency energy and infrared light are allowed to infiltrate the fat cells and temporarily pierce their membranes releasing fatty acids, glycerol and water from the fat cells into the body, thus shrinking it.
This process also stimulates collagen production, thus reducing the appearance of fine lines and age spots.
Does VelaShape Hurt?
VelaShape treatment is a non-invasive procedure with minimal side effects and downtime. For most patients the treatment feels like a painless, warm, deep-tissue massage.
After the procedure, the treated area may appear pink or the patient may feel warm for a short time. This flushed appearance or feeling of warmth is due to the heat produced during the treatment and will subside soon. Since the procedure results in lymphatic drainage, the patient may also experience an increase in urination, as this is the body’s mechanism of naturally expelling the absorbed fat cells.
What is Cellulite in the Stomach?
Cellulite occurs when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin, creating a dimpled or lumpy appearance. While it’s more common in thighs, buttocks & arms, it can also develop in the stomach due to factors like:
- Hormonal changes
- Poor circulation
- Weight fluctuations
- Genetic predisposition
Cellulite isn’t a medical concern, but it can affect self-esteem. The good news? You can take steps to reduce its appearance at GOLDCOAST Medspa!
