What to Expect
A Triniti single session is approx. 60 mins, depending on the area being treated. You may feel a warm sensation or mild tingling as the device delivers energy to your skin. However most patients tolerate the procedure well. A cooling gel is used to keep discomfort to a minimum.
Preparing for your treatment
– Stop all photosensitizing pharmaceutical drugs such as antibiotics
– No Accutane 6 months prior
– No Retin-A, Tretinoin or other Vitamin A products 1 week prior
– No aspirin or alcohol 72 hours prior to treatment
– Avoid skincare actives like AHAs, salicylic acid 1 week prior
– Increase water intake 7-14 days prior (approx. 6-8 glasses/day)
– An antiviral medication such as Acyclovir or Valtrex for those prone to cold sores can be started one day prior to the treatment
– RECENTLY TANNED SKIN CANNOT BE TREATED
– Discontinue use of self tanners 7-14 days prior to treatment
Post Care
– cold compress will help alleviate any heating sensation
– silver sulfadiazine will alleviate tingling symptoms still ongoing beyond 24 hrs of treatment
– Use a gentle cleanser with no actives like retinol, AHAs, BHA, physical scrubs
– Use a moisturizer containing healing ingredients like shea butter, vegan glycerin at a cool, cold temperature for gentle healing
– Consider some stratacell or stratamed to expedite the healing process
– Avene cicalfate cream and cold aloe vera gel applied topically works great for a soothing recovery
– Swelling WILL occur and peak 1-2 days (on average) post treatment
– Avoid the sun 4-6 weeks post treatment
– Use 30+ broad spectrum sunscreen indoors and outdoors; reapplying every 2 hours during daylight
– Additional protection with the use of a UV visor or broad rimmed hat
– You may apply makeup 24 hours post treatment
– Avoid excess sweating 2 – 3 days post treatment
– Avoid scratching, peeling any scabs to minimize infection
– Change pillowcases to avoid cross contamination
– Approximate healing and recovery is 4-7 days
– Hydrocortisone cream may help with excess itching post treatment
– Skincare regimen may be resumed 1 week after treatment
– Retin-A, Retinol products can be resumed 2 weeks post treatment
* Over the following weeks as collagen production increases, your skin will continue to improve becoming firmer and more radiant

1. How many office visits are required?
triniti Plus saves time compared to other treatments. All 3 treatments are done in 1 session. Depending on the individual, additional sessions may be added. After desired results, one touch-up session every 6 months as needed
2. Does it hurt?
Most patients undergo the procedure with little discomfort. In addition, topical numbing cream and a cold compress can be used to decrease discomfort. Most patients return to normal activities the following day.
3. When can I expect to see results?
Typically results are seen gradually and continually over the course of the treatment. During your initial consultation, your laser technician will personalize your treatment to maximum optimal results.
